It is unfortunate that we have to post this – and we were hoping to avoid it, but it is getting to the point where people need to be warned.
We have been receiving disturbing messages over the last 9 months, including some harassing comments on our posts. Apparently a few gentlemen posing as model agents have opened a false agency using a similar name. We are Legend Models and Talent, and they are calling themselves Legends Modeling and Talent. We are based in Las Vegas, while they are claiming to be nationwide on their site. We have posted a link to their page below. While it is possible that a few individuals have had a positive experience with them, it seems that the majority have not.
From gathered reports, the “agents” names are David Speer and / or David Martin and Adam Johnston, although we have not found any record of either person on social media. Upon viewing their website, you will notice that all of the models are boys. A handful of these boys contacted us in hopes of resolving their situations, and upon learning we are not affiliated, are sharing their experiences with us.
These “agents” are allegedly reaching out to young men on the internet, and convincing them and / or their parents to send money in order to advance their modeling or acting careers. There have also been reports of the Talent being flown to other cities, with the possibility of human trafficking. They have changed their phone numbers multiple times, and do not seem to be fulfilling their promises to these hopeful young boys and their families. The word “scam” is being used by those who have attempted business with them.
To all models and talent – be careful who you choose to represent you, always do your research. Do they have the proper business licenses required to legally book models and talent? Do they have a legitimate office address and location? Do you know anyone who has successfully done business with them? Are they BBB (Better Business Bureau) accredited?
In order to legally book models in Las Vegas, you must have a legitimate office address and location, as well as a Clark County regulated business license. Ask to see these documents. We have attached ours here.
Some warning signs may include having a PO box for an address, @aol.com as their email address url, stock photos (available for purchase online) in place of photos from their own bookings, and unprofessional Talent photos taken with a cell phone instead of a professional photographer.
We are not posting this to slander anyone, but to officially state that we ARE NOT AFFILIATED with Legends Modeling and Talent, David Speer, Adam Johnston or anyone affiliated with said “agency.”
We do hope that everyone who has been negatively affected by this company are able to resolve their issues. Thank you.
